Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate an understanding of typical GOM offshore equipment and controls vendors;
- Experience designing and implementing changes to control and safety systems offshore, including design, vendor engagement, integration testing, and management of change;
- Prior experience in supporting offshore commissioning through successful startup preferred;
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues with I&C equipment arising during operations and maintenance activities;
- Ability to support tuning / setting of control loops to optimize performance from existing facilities;
- Experience in functional safety from risk assessment through design into ongoing operation, maintenance & testing;
- Experience optimizing testing maintenance & testing of offshore I&C equipment;
- Understanding of key aspects of life extension for I&C equipment and applying best practice to allow for safe and efficient handover to new / replacement systems where required;
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in related technical role and minimum 5 years’ experience in upstream offshore;
- Prior experience within offshore operations organization is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) from an accredited college or university in related engineering discipline required;
- Ability to work in a team environment and interface well with offshore employees and remote central engineering support teams;
- Acute problem-solving skills;
- Strong HSSE mindset;
- Be willing and able to travel offshore as required.
