Job Description
Reports to an Analysis Section Leader and/or Engineering Analysis Manager and is responsible for performing finite element analysis (including static capacity, mechanical, structural, thermal/heat transfer, and fatigue). Must be capable of performing verification analysis (static capacity and fatigue analysis) according to company standards, customer specifications, and product code and industry standards such as API 17D, 6A, 16A, 17TR7, 17TR8, DNVGL-RP-C203, ASME Section VIII Div 2 and Div 3, and ASME FFS-1/API 579-1.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Math/Sciences from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of three (3) to seven (7) years of experience using finite element analysis (FEA) as focused on a specific product line(s), component or sub-system used in the oil and gas exploration and development manufacturing business sector
- Strong background in fracture mechanics evaluation is highly preferred
- Must be very capable to perform solid mechanics / strength of materials engineering classical calculations
